"I got involved in the Foodbank once my wife Sarah had to return to work in a primary school. I decided to cover the shifts that she had been doing for Fran, Clare and the team. It has been a fantastic experience. At a time when everything is so stressful, it has been brilliant to know that what you are involved in really makes a difference. The experience has also made me think how lucky I am. However hard it may seem, there are people in a far more vulnerable position than us that we can help. Through my life there have been many times when people have helped me...... from those people I have learnt to say “how can I help?”

For me, St Margaret s food bank was the obvious choice. It is a wonderful community based project underpinned by our basic human responsibility to help and share with others.
